Week 1 — Daddy Dearest

Week 1 is the first and introductory week of Friday Night Funkin'. Boyfriend confronts Daddy Dearest, Girlfriend's father, who disapproves of their relationship. The battle takes place on a concert stage with large speakers in the background. This week serves as the tutorial, introducing players to the core mechanics.

Stage

The stage is a simple concert platform with massive speakers stacked behind the characters. Purple stage lights illuminate the scene, and the background is dark with a gradient sky. Girlfriend sits on her boombox speakers between Boyfriend and Daddy Dearest. This iconic stage has become one of the most recognizable settings in the game.

Songs

1

Bopeebo

100 BPM · The introductory song. A simple, catchy track that teaches players the basic four-arrow mechanic. Note patterns are slow and predictable, with generous timing windows. Daddy Dearest starts off relatively calm.
2

Fresh

120 BPM · The tempo picks up slightly. More complex patterns are introduced, including double notes and quicker transitions between arrows. Still approachable for beginners but introduces more challenge.
3

Dad Battle

180 BPM · The climactic finale. A significant jump in BPM and note density. Daddy Dearest goes all out with aggressive vocal patterns. Considered one of the best songs in the game by the community.
