About the Game
Friday Night Funkin' (often abbreviated as FNF) is a free-to-play and open-source rhythm game originally created for Ludum Dare 47 in October 2020. Developed by ninjamuffin99, PhantomArcade, evilsk8r, and Kawai Sprite, the game quickly became a cultural phenomenon in the indie gaming and Newgrounds communities.
Players control Boyfriend, a blue-haired young man who must defeat a series of opponents in singing and rapping contests to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay involves pressing arrow keys in time with the music as note arrows scroll upward on screen.
